Shape Your Mind

Pakruojis is a small town in the North of Lithuania. There are 349 students, 42 teachers, headmaster and 3 assistant directors. Gymnasium has 1 - 4 gymnasium classes, there study students from Pakruojis town and villages near Pakruojis. Students from villages can stay in gymnasium dormitory.
Our teachers try to teach students to be creative, safe and able to plan their future. We have many preventive, artistic, socialization and traditional programmes. There are taught three languages: English ( the first foreign language), Russian and French (the second foreign language). Also our students can choose various modulus and subjects which they will adapt to their future needs. Our
students have many non- formal education lessons, sport groups after lessons. All gymnasium community try to educate students to be active and responsible citizens. Teachers of our gymnasium take part in many national projects, prepare seminars and lessons to teachers from other schools, students and their parents. They try to be useful to all town community. To reach better results
teachers use various teaching methods, their experience from EU projects and their personal achievement of results. Our priority is to find good methods, learn from partners and use the best experience working with students. Our gymnasium has many school partners in other Lithuanian towns, we cooperate with many universities and colleges, invite them to our gymnasium and have
many common projects. Our students reach good results in sport, art, music and dances. We joined a Comenius Project before and had some experience in international activities. Thanks to that project, teachers and students have improved learning foreign language competence, cultural awareness and using technological opportunities. With the help of this project, we will be able to
train, educate our students on being active and successful citizens. These activities help our teachers to be leader teachers, and make them capable to help the students with their troubles.
During the transnational meetings we will have the chance to present our culture and values, and learn others cultures and values. These activities help our students to be more self-confident about their future careers.
